Nike confirmed on June 23, 2022, that it was making a full exit from Russia, as the pace of Western companies leaving the country accelerates. Nike temporarily suspended operations three months ago in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Moscow is contemplating new laws that would allow it to seize assets and impose criminal charges and penalties on foreign firms leaving Russia over the war in Ukraine.
