Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University has come up with a new innovation that could help farmers detect problems in crops early. The “robo-plants'' work by attaching electrodes onto it with hydrogel for scientists to monitor signals emitted by the plants. The remote-controlled device can also trigger Venus flytraps to slam shut with a smartphone app.
