A$AP Rocky is showcasing his affection for Rihanna with a custom-designed piece of jewelry: a gold ring featuring a detailed statue of the singer covered in diamonds. The rapper, 36, revealed the ring in a behind-the-scenes video with Vogue, while preparing for his Harlem-inspired look for the 2025 Met Gala held on May 5th.
The ring, designed by Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills, is crafted from 130 grams of 18-karat gold and features over five carats of round, brilliant-cut white diamonds. The statue on the ring replicates Rihanna, 37, wearing a strapless, cleavage-baring minidress. Gold chain links adorn the head of the statue, emulating long braids that move with the slightest gesture.
In the Vogue video, A$AP Rocky gushes over the ring's resemblance to Rihanna. He playfully points out the details, saying, "You see this sexy thing? My shorty got the little fatty on her too,” and "You see that forehead? You know who it is". Arasheben shared that Rocky requested a silhouette of Rihanna, "No name, no logo—just her. Clean. Iconic".
The statue is said to be inspired by Rihanna's look at the 2019 British Fashion Awards, where she wore a mint satin mini dress, reportedly one of Rocky's favorite outfits of hers. While A$AP Rocky showed off the ring in the behind-the-scenes video, he did not wear it to the Met Gala. Instead, he sported a custom design from his AWGE creative agency, which included a black vest, white button-down top, slacks, and a classic black tie. He accessorized with Bulgari rings, a necklace, a brooch, and multiple stud earrings.
Rihanna, who co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala, also made a statement by debuting her baby bump in a chic Marc Jacobs ensemble. The couple has announced that they are expecting their third child, joining their sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1.
The ring first appeared in A$AP Rocky's 2022 "D.M.B." music video. Fans have lauded the ring as a symbol of "iconic black love" and genuine adoration.
