The teaser for Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 5, initially launched on April 30th, was removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim, leading the producer to take swift action to resolve the issue. The comedy entertainer, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is slated for release on June 6th and features a massive ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan.

The copyright claim was filed by Mofusion Studios, an India-based record label, asserting ownership of the song "Laal Pari," which features in the film's teaser. Mofusion Studios alleged that the producers used the song without proper authorization. The teaser, which had garnered millions of views within ten days of its release, was removed from Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment's official YouTube channel.

According to reports, Sajid Nadiadwala, in collaboration with T-Series, had previously secured the rights to "Laal Pari" from Dinesh Productions for a substantial sum. Further complications arose when Zee Music also claimed rights to the song, leading to a behind-the-scenes settlement. It appears Yo Yo Honey Singh, the composer of "Laal Pari," may have promised the song's rights to multiple labels.

Faced with the unexpected copyright claim from Mofusion Studios, Sajid Nadiadwala is now working with T-Series and Yo Yo Honey Singh to resolve the issue. Legal experts from T-Series and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment are involved in addressing the matter. Despite the teaser's removal from YouTube, it remains available on Instagram, where the film's stars shared it. The "Laal Pari" song is still accessible on T-Series' YouTube channel.

Housefull 5 is anticipated to be the costliest film in the Housefull franchise, with an estimated budget of around 350 crores. The movie has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, making it the longest in the franchise. Apart from the main cast, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever.

In addition to Housefull 5, Sajid Nadiadwala has several other upcoming projects, including Baaghi 4, Kick 2, Sanki, and Arjun Ustara. He is also producing Sikandar, scheduled for release in 2025.
