Chennai recently witnessed a convergence of cinematic and political giants at a high-profile wedding, captivating the attention of fans and media alike. Two iconic figures of Tamil cinema, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, were among the attendees at the wedding of producer Ishari K. Ganesh's daughter, Preetha Ganesh, to Lushvin Kumar.

The wedding ceremony, held on Friday, May 9, 2025, was a star-studded affair, with numerous Kollywood celebrities present to bless the couple. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, both stalwarts of the Tamil film industry, were photographed extending their heartfelt wishes to Preetha and Lushvin. Pictures circulating online show Rajinikanth beaming alongside the bride and groom.

Beyond Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, the wedding was graced by the presence of other prominent personalities from the film fraternity. Actor Suriya attended Preetha's sangeet ceremony the previous evening and was seen congratulating the couple. Filmmakers such as C. Sundar, Mani Ratnam, and Gautham Vasudev Menon also attended the wedding, further highlighting the event's significance within the industry. Ravi Mohan and Kenishaa Francis were also in attendance. Other attendees included Adhik Ravichandran, Vikram Prabhu, Aditi Shankar, Vetrimaaran and Prabhu.

Ishari K. Ganesh is a well-known figure in the Tamil film industry. He is the son of former actor-politician Isari Velan and the founder of Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS). Under his banner, Vels Film International, Ganesh has produced several successful films, including Devi, Comali, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Kutty Story, Mookuthi Amman, and Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha.

This wasn't the first time Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have been spotted together at a high-profile Chennai wedding. In April 2024, both actors attended the wedding of Aishwarya Shankar, daughter of renowned director S. Shankar. That event also drew a galaxy of stars, including Nayanthara, Suriya, Karthi, Vikram, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

The presence of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan at these events underscores their enduring status as not just actors, but also as influential figures in Tamil Nadu's cultural landscape. Their attendance at both Aishwarya Shankar's wedding in 2024 and Preetha Ganesh's wedding this year generated considerable buzz and provided fans with glimpses of their favorite stars in a personal setting.
