Tens of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes as major flooding sweeps across southern China. Rescuers are working round the clock to help nearly a million people affected across several provinces. Heavy rains have fallen on the country's manufacturing hub for weeks. The economic damage is enormous, with losses of at least US$261 million so far.
