Singapore could soon lay the building blocks of coastal protection. Authorities are studying the feasibility of a system that uses stackable concrete modules to guard against rising sea levels. It could mean adapting more quickly, and adding layers of protection when needed. A seven-month trial will also test the proposed design in simulated wave conditions.
